There are almost 200 winegrowers from different municipalities in the region who are partners in SAT. The Valley of Güímar is located in the southeastern part of Tenerife. Arafo, Candelaria and Güímar are all represented and the partners from this area possess more than 1500 hectacres which are used exclusively for wine growing. These vineyards are located at elevations ranging from 200 to 1500 metres above sea level, and are some of the highest in all of Europe. The combination of the elevation and unique ground characterised by it volcanic origins, trade winds in the archipelago, and spring-like weather conditions (with its implied luminosity) allow a unique, high quality grape to be cultivated.
